AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND SECRETARY
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE WORTH, TEX.
ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER
PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE
CITY CHARTER; PRESCRIBING A SAVING CLAUSE AND
SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort
Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral
part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County,
Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 8 miles west from the Court House of
Tarrant County, Texas, lying in the B. B. B. & C. ER. Surgey, Abstract
No. 218 and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort Worth in the north right-of-way line of Stage Coach Road (County
Road 1022), 2520 feet east of the west line of the B. B. B. & C. RR.
Company Survey, Abstract 218,
THENCE north 250 feet;
THENCE west parallel to and 250 feet north from the north right-of-
way line of Stage Coach Road (County Road 1022) a distance of 990 feet;
THENCE north 350 feet,
THENCE east parallel to and 600 feet north from the north right-
of-way line of Stage Coach Road (County Road 1022) a distance of 725 feet;
THENCE south 300 feet;
THENCE east parallel to and 300 feet north from the north right-of-
way line of Stage Coach Road (County Road 1022), a distance of 305 feet;
THENCE south 300 feet to the north right-of-way line of Stage Coach
Road (County Road 1022)9 the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort Worth;
THENCE west along the north line of Stage Coach Road (County Road
1022) and the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth 40 feet
to the place of beginning and containing approximately 6.40 acres.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 3.
If say section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void, or unconstitutional by a court of competent Jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section b.
That this ordinance shall became effective and be in full force and affect
upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from
the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
PRESENTED AND PASSED on first reading Friday, the day of

ment Plant
Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen:
Plans of the Water Department proposes the construction of 'e-pump station
and a 7.5 million gallon storage reservoir an a 6.4 acre tract In the
B.B.B. and C.R.R. Co. Survey, immediately north of Stage Coach Road, and
approximately 4000 feet west of Cherry Lane.
At the request of the City Council of Fort Worth, the City of White
Settlement has deleted the 6.4 acres from its corporate limits in order
that the tract may be annexed by Fort Worth.
A report containing maps showing the area involved and copies of corres-
pondenca is attached.
The City Planning Department recommends that the tract be annexed and be
held under first reading until such time as the City of Fort'Worth Water
Department's installation is completed. An ordinance provi'ding -tor
annexation of the 6.4 acres will be on the agenda today for consideration
of the. Council . Its adoption is recommended.
