Kayser, City Secretary With a quorum of the City Council Members present,Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City Council Work Session to order at 3:02 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, in City Council Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. 1. Report of the City Manager-David Cooke, City Manager a. Changes to the City Council Agenda M&C 10-0037 will be withdrawn form the agenda. M&C 19-0017 will be continued to August 20, 2019. b. Library Director Manya Schorr annour_ced that the Fort Worth Public Library has been reaceredited through the State Library of Texas. d. Responses to Items Continued from a Previous Meeting There were no items continued. 4. Update and Year One Review of Economic Development Strategic Plan Objectives -Robert Sturns,Economic Development and John Roberts, TIP Strategies Robert Sturns, Economic Development and John Karas and Jennifer Todd with TIP Strategies presented an update and review of the Economic Development Strategic Plan. 5. Presentation on the Recommended Fiscal Year 2020 Operating Budget -David Cooke, City Manager City Manager David Cooke presented the Fiscal Year 2020 Operating Budget. The budget is 1.8 billion dollars. The proposed tax rate is $0.7475 with$0.5950 going to Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and$0.1525 going to Debt Service. Of the $0.5950 going to O&M, $0.5300 will go to Operations and$0.0650 will go to Capital. There will be a total of 114 net new positions. 6. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Council Member Moon- review of small cell tower requirements and controls and how we can make changes quickly. Council Member Bivens - are we aggregating complaint data and analyizing it? 7.
