AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE
CITY OF FORT NORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE
BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN
SAID CITY IN .ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER;
AMENDING-ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH:
PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of
Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made
an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in
Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 9 miles east from the Courthouse
of Tarrant County, Teasers, and embracing portions of the R.R. Ramey
and J.M. Steiner Surveys and being more fully described as follows:
BBaINNING at a point in the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth 200 feet east from the east right-of-way line of Cooks
Lane, and 300 feet north from the north right-of-way line of U. S.
Highway No. 80 (East):
THENCE northerly along the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth which is 200 feet east from, and parallel to, and con-
centric with the east right-of-way line of Cooks Lane, to its inter-
section with the south right-of-way line of-MekdowbrObk Drive;
THENCE easterly along the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth the south right-of-way line of Meadowbrook Drive, to
its intersection with the west line of the S. C. Culver Survey;
THENCE southerly along the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth the west line of the S. C. Culver Survey, to its southwest
corner in the north line of the R.R. Ramey Survey;
THENCE easterly along the present city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth the north line of the R.R. Ramey Survey, to its northeast
corner;
THENCE southerly along the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth;the east line of the R.R. Ramey Survey to a point 50
feet northwesterly from the middle of Village Creek;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction with the meanders of the
present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, parallel to and 50
feet northwesterly from the middle of Village Creek to a point 300 feet
north from the north right-of-wag line of U. S. Highway No. 80 (East);
THENCE westerly along the present city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth 300 feet north from and parallel to the north right-of-way
line U. S. Highway No. 80 (East) to the place of beginning and containing
appraximate4 .480 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in
conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
No. 4800, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance
shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.

Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published'one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon
its final passage, which in no event. shall be less than thirty (30) days from the
date of its publications, 'as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
