AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILED BY
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
VARIOUS STREETS AT FOUR LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the Public Works Director having on the 16th day of August, 1957,
filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of Flint
Street from the westerly line of the M-K-T Railroad Right-of-Way to the easterly
line of Hemphill Street, known and designated as Unit No. 1; Bryan Avenue from
the- southerly line of Berry Street to the northerly line of Shaw Street, knom and
designated as Unit No. 2; Stuart Drive from the southerly line of Dickson Street
to the northerly line of Pafford Street, known and designated as Unit No. 3;
Orange Street from the westerly line of Townsend Drive to the easterly line of
Forest Park Boulevard, known and designated as Unit No. 4; the same be and are
hereby approved as the Specifications under which said work shall be done.
Section 2.
That the City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for
the construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said Specifications,
which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort Worth Star
Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort Worth, and shall
call for sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council on or
before the 3rd day of September, 1957, at 10:00 A.M. upon which date shall be
opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter. That the first publication of
said advertisement shall not be less than ten (10) days before the date herein
set for the opening of Bids.
Section 3.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
