AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF A
SIXTEEN FOOT WIDE ALLEY RIGHT -OF -WAY, LYING BETWEEN
LOTS 1, 2, 3 AND 4; AND LOTS 17, 18, 19 AND 20, BLOCK 20, K.M.
VANZANDT'S 2ND ADDITION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME
106, PAGE 118 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS; AND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 3,200 SQUARE FEET
OF LAND MORE OR LESS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND; PROVIDING THAT THE CITY SHALL RETAIN ALL
EXISTING UTILITIES EASEMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a portion of a sixteen foot wide alley right -of -way, lying between Lots 1,2,3 and 4;
and lots 17, 18, 19 and 20, Block 20, K.M. Vanzandt's 2nd Addition of the William Bussell
Survey, an Addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in Volume 106, Page 118 of the Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 3,200 square feet of land more
or less, and as more specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the easement to the land in the above - described vacated street right of way is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
All existing utility easement be shall be retained by the City until such time all utilities
located in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense.

SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

THAT PORTION OF THE 16 FEET WIDE PUBLIC ALLEY LYING BETWEEN LOTS 1, 2, 3 AND 4; AND LOTS 17, 18, 19 AND

FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT A FOUND 1/2" STEEL ROD AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 20, IN THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID
ALLEY, AND IN THE WEST RIGHT -OF -WAY LINE OF CURRIE STREET, A 60 FEET WIDE PUBLIC STREET;
THENCE WEST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID LOTS 20, 19, 18 AND 17, AND THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID PUBLIC

Adopt Ordinance Vacating a Portion of an Alley Located Between Currie Street and Norwood Street
(COUNCIL DISTRICT 9)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of an alley located between Currie Street and Norwood
Street; and
2. Waive any and all purchase fee value of the vacated land in accordance with City Policy (M &C G-
15624).
DISCUSSION:
Grant Engineering, Inc., on behalf of Fort Worth Midtown RV Park, Inc., has requested the vacation of this
portion of an alley to replat the right -of -way with the adjoining property for existing commercial
development. The City Plan Commission recommended approval of this request at its meeting on July 26,
1995. The applicant forgot the need to replat the alley into the adjoinging property in order to complete the
vacation process. An acceptable replat (FS- 012 -027) has been received. Any existing utilities will be
relocated at the applicant's expense, or retained within a designated easement, along with an appropriate
plat note that no permanent structures may be constructed or placed thereon.
The City of Fort Worth (City) originally obtained the above mentioned right -of -way through the platting
process. The City does not own land under or adjacent to the above referenced alley. Since no City funds
have been expended to purchase property or easement rights, collection of the fair market value or any
portion thereof is recommended by Staff to be waived.
This land is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9.

The Financial Management Services Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City
funds.
