The meetinE4 was then opened for discussion on a question and answer basis. UNIT 1, ARCH ADAMS STREET: Mrs. Jack Burdette, Sr. , owner of Lot 20, Block 7, W. M. She also stated that she is not financially able t pu r_ out: more money than is absolutely necessary, as she: is her sole support and on ,Social Se(CU:)ri Y. rJt1,hnn W. Meserole, who lives at 3301 West Fifth Street, Lot 1, Block 7, W. M. Bailey Addition, zlc,eh, not think that anything would be gained by widening of the street. He is satisfied with t,e street ,as it is now. He also staged that by widening West Fifth Street, there would be mo e traffic and would be life a race track on either side of his house. He thinks that West Fif',th St',.ne-et should be widened on west to Monticello Drive if it is going to be widened from Ar,:Ift Au ams east to Bailey Avenue. He also objected to the sidewalk. Mr. Ho,_rscce and Dean Litsey, owners of Lots 20 and 1, Block 14, W. M. Bailey Addition, were concc.,,,rne:d about having their driveways closed in front of their business establishment for any period of time. They are desiring that the City pave the alley between Lots 20 and 1, in order that they would be able to get in and out of their business with their equipment during cnst7ruction of Arch Adams. They seemed vary congenial and willing to go along with whatever the city tti.nks is the proper thing to do. Nathan Rubenstein, Lot 1, Block 17, W. M. Bailey Addition, was mainly concerned with a storm, drain inlet being put in on the Hamilton side of his lot, cutting out two or three head-in parking places. He goes along with the improvements that are proposed. Mr. 1,k;nnings and Mr. Fry, representing the West Si.4e State Bank, were very anxious tc see that irrcp,r,svements are going to be made, as everyone would be benefitted, more especially the Bank. UNIT 2, WEST FIFTH STREET: No comment. UNIT 3, WEST SIXTH STREET: Mr. Joe B. Owens Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 2, W. M.
