AN ORDINANCE SETTING APART 7 Mills PER ANNUM OF THE TEN CENT
TAX ALLOWED FOR PARK PURPOSES TO CREATE A SINKING FUND AND
PAY INTEREST THEREON TO PAY CERTAIN �.OTES EXECUTED BY THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH AND THE PAR BOARD FOR PART OF THE PURCHASE
PRICE OF BURNETT PARK.
BE IT RESOLVED: That, whereas, in order to
complete the park donated to the City of Fort Worth by
Capt. S. B. Burnett it will be necessary to purchase the
following described property:
All those certain lots, tracts or parcels of land
lying and being situated in the City of Fort - orth, Tarrant
County, Texas, more particularly described as follows, to wit:
FIRST PARCEL:-- 50 feet off the north end of the
east half (1/3) of Block No. Three (3). of June Smith' s
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,

at the northeast corner of said Block No. Three (3) , said
northeast corner being the point of intersection of the lest
line of Burnett Street with the south line of West Seventh
Street in said City of Fort .orth; Thence South with the
west line of said Burnett Street 50 feet; Thence west
parall6l with the south line of West Seventh Street 108 feet
to the east line of an alley extending north &nd south through
said block; Thence north with the east line of said alley 50

feet to the south line of West Seventh Street; Thence East,
along the south line of West Seventh Street 108 feet to the
plaae of beginning.
SECOND TRACT:-- Fifty (50) feet off the south end
of the east half of Block No. Three (3) of June Smith's
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, more
particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the southeast
corner of said Block No. Three (3) , said southeast corner being
the point of intersection of the north line of Tenth Street,

Thence north with the west line of Burnett Street 50 feet;
Thence west parallel with the north line of said Tenth Street
108 feet to the east line of an alley extending north and south
through said block; Thence south with the east line of said alley

the north line of said Tenth Street 108 feet to the place of
beginning.
And, Whereas, the purchase money for said property
is to be evidenced by promissory notes executed by the City of
Fort Worth and the Park Board of said 'City, payable to said
S. B. Burnett, described as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, for the purpose of providing a sihking
fund and sufficient fund to pay interest thereon to pay and
discharge said notes when due, there is hereby set apart from
the ten cent ad valorem tax provided for park purpcses,
7 mills per annum; 4j mills of which said sum shall be and
constitute a sinking fund for the payment of said notes and
shall be used for no other purpose; and 3j mills of which fund
shall be and hereby is set apart to pay the interest upon said
notes and shall be used for no other purpose.
