AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE
EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH DEPARTMENT, DrM ION AND
OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVKWaMNT OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR AND APPROPRIATING
MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FONDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE,
AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC BEARINGS UPON THIS ORDINANCE
BEFORE THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL SITTING AS A COMMITTEE OF
THE WHOLE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That the appropriations for the ensuing fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1934, and ending September 30, 1935, for the different departments
and purposes of the City of Fort Worth be fixed and determined as follows:

XI GENERAL INTEREST AND SINKING FUND

YII WATERWORKS FUND BUDGET
The Water Department shall be provided with such revenue as may be
secured from the sale of water and other sources as shown by other ordinances
heretofore passed and such money shall be used to meet the requirements of that
department as provided in the budget of the City. Visneger.

The Department of Public Parks shall be provided with funds realized
from a tax levy of 9¢ on each $100.00 of assessed value of all real, personal
and mixed property in the City of Fort Worth not exempt from taxation by law,
and such money shall be used to meet the requirements of that department as pro-
vided in the budget of the City Manager.

ZIP RECREATION
The Department of Public Recreation shall be provided with funds
realized from a tax levy of 2$ on each$100.00 of assessed value of all real,
personal and mixed property in the City of Fort Worth not exempt from taxation
by law, and such money shall be used to meet the requirements of that department
as provided in the budget of the City Manager.

The Public Library shall be provided with funds realized from a'tax
levy of 30 on each $100.00 of assessed value of all real, personal and mixed
property in the City of Fort Worth not exempt from taxation by law, and such
money shall be used to meet the requirements of that department as provided in
the budget of the City Manager.
SECTION II.
That the distribution and division of the above named appropriations
be made in accordance with the budget of expenditures submitted by the City
Manager and as revised by the City Council in accordance with the provisions
of the City Charter and adopted by the City Council and which budget is made a
part of this ordinance by reference thereto and shall be considered in connec-
tion with the expenditures of the above appropriation.
SECTION III.
That the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, as heretofore provid-
ed and for which meeting notice has been duly given, shall sit as a committee
of the whole in the Council Chamber at the City Hall in the City of Fort Worth
on Wednesday, the loth day of October, A. D. 1934, at 9:30 o'clock a. m., to
hear any complaints, suggestions or observations that any citizen, taxpayer or
party interested may desire to make with reference to any or all the provisions
of this ordinance, and such committee shall continue its deliberations until the
public has been given a full opportunity to be heard.
SECTION IV.
That following the public hearings, for which provision has been made
in the preceding section, this ordinance shall be published in the official
newspaper of the City of Fort Worth and which newspaper is one of geneaai-'_ cir-
culation in said City, together with a separate schedule setting forth the items
in the estimate of the City Manager, which were omitted or changed by the City
Council, and the reason for such omission or change, as required by the Charter
of said City.
SECTION V.
That this ordinance shall not be presented for final passage until
ten full days have elapsed after its publication, as provided by the Charter
of said City.
SECTION VI.
Should any part, portion, section or part of a section of this ordin-
ance be declared invalid or inoperative or void for any reason by a court of
competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way af-
fect the remaining portions, parts, sections or parts of sections of this or-
dinance, which provisions shall be, remain and continue to be in full force and
effect.
SECTION VII.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and publication as required by the Charter
of the City of Fort Worth.
