AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 98,
TEXAS AND PACIFIC SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING BETWEEN VIRGINIA
STREET ON THE WEST AND TEE TEXAS AND PACIFIC RIGHT-
OF-WAY ON THE EAST, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID
LAND.
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth
that the alley in Block 98, Texas and Pacific Subdivision, has never been
open for public use and that it is to the best interest of the public that
said alley be closed, abandoned and vacated as a public thoroughfare and the
fee to the land in said alley revert as provided by law; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the alley in Block 98, Texas and Pacific Subdivision to the City
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, between Virginia Street on the west and
the Texas and Pacific right-of-way on the east, be and the same is hereby va-
cated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of
any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released
and will revert to the owners as provided by law, save and except that an ease-
ment is reserved for all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
