AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF
MARK LANE ABUTTING LOTS 13 AND 14, BLOCK 2,
LAKELAND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN
SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portion of Mark Lane, a
public street in Lakeland Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, as shown on plat of said Addition re-
corded in Vol. 388-3, Page 60, of the Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned
and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare
of any kind or character whatever, save and except that ease-
ments are reserved for any existing utilities:
Beginning at a point in the northerly line
of said Mark Lane, said point being the southeast
corner of Lot 14 in Block 2, Lakeland Addition;
Thence South 42 degrees 37 minutes West 54.32
feet;
Thence North 47 degrees 14 minutes West 100.0
feet to the beginning of a curve whose center bears
South 42 degrees 46 minutes West 369.85 feet;
Thence Westerly with said curve 118.34 feet
to the end of said curve, said point being in said
northerly line of Mark Lane and being the southwest
corner of Lot 13 in Block 2, Lakeland Addition;
Thence South 65 degrees 55 minutes East with
said northerly line of Mark Lane 228.21 feet to the
place of beginning, and containing 0.105 acre more or
less.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

"' DRU The Director of Public Works, City of Fort Worth, with consent of all
MIMES abutting property owners, has requested that the City vacate a portion
of Mark Lane in the 8500 block abutting Lots 13 & 14, Block 2, Lakeland
Addition, as shown on the attached map. The dedicated right-of-way of
Mark Lane does not follow the existing street.
The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no
objections to this request provided a replat of the property is submitted
showing 30' of right-of-way on either side of the existing centerline of
Mark Lane; and the roadway is shown in its correct location on the replat.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that
an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-pf-way as requested. A
satisfactory replat has been submitted to the City staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-
of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
