HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2597 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE TWELVE FOOT ALLEY IMMEDIATE- LY NORTH OF AND ADJACENT TO LOT 2, W. E. RALSTIN SUBDIVISION, A PART OF THE A. McLEMORE SURVEY, IN FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVID- ING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth that the twelve foot alley immediately north of and adjacent to Lot 2, W. E. Ralstin Subdivision, in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, has never been used by the public and that it is to the best inter- est of the public that said alley be closed, abandoned and vacated as a public thoroughfare and the fee to the land in said alley revert as pro- vided by lax; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley at the northwest corner of Chandler and Race Streets described as a twelve foot alley immediately north of aud_adjacent to Lot 2, W. E. Ralstin Subdivision, a part of the A. McLemore Survey, in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any land or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef- fect from and after the date of its passage.
