AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Being a tract of land about 4 miles east from the Court House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the A. C. Warren, J. F. Reeding, L. G. Tinsley, J. Lynch, P. T. Welch, J. Blackwell and J. W. Haynes Surveys and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point, in the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, in the west right-of-way line of Howard Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084), at its intersection with the north line of the J. Blackwell Survey produced westerly. THENCE easterly, along the north line of the J. Blackwell Survey, produced westerly and along the north lines of the J. Blackwell and J. W. Haynes Surveys, to its intersection with a line parallel to and 500 feet northwesterly of the southeasterly right-of-way line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021). THENCE in a southwesterly and southerly direction, along a line parallel to and 500 feet northwesterly and westerly of the southeasterly and easterly right-of-way line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021), to its intersection with the present city limit line of Fort Worth. THENCE westerly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth to its intersection with the east line of a tract of land owned by the City of Fort Worth upon which is situated a sewage disposal plant. THENCE northerly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, the east line of said tract, approximately 2695 feet, to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of E. 1st Street. THENCE westerly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, the south right-of-way line of East 1st Street, to its intersection with the northwesterly ight-of-way line of Howard Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084) produced sout;westerly. THENCE along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, the northwesterly and westerly right-of-way line of Howard Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084) in a northeasterly and northerly direction to the place of beginning and containing approximately .826 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby repeal every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly repeals Ordinance No. 4424 heretofore adopted and passed on January 6, 1961, but as to all other ordinances or section of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section S. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
