AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 29, RYAN- PRUITT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley in Block 29, Ryan-Pruitt Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character Nhtatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef- fect from and after the date of its passage. City of Fort Worth Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: The City of Fort Worth has received a request from the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company for the closing of the alley in Block 29, Ryan-Pruitt Addition. The Railroad has abandoned the spur track across this property and desires to consolidate it into one unit to provide for a better com- mercial development. The Public Works Department has investigated the request and has found no objections to this requested closing. The City has received correspondence from utility companies indicating approval of the request. It is recommended that the necessary ordinance be adopted for the closing of the alley in Block 29, Ryan-Pruitt Addition, as requested. Respectfully submitted, LPC: ih fL. /P. Coo InghamManager
