AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILED BY THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR THE IASPEDVEMENT OF PORTIONS
OF W&ER BOULEVARD, NORTHWEST TWENTY-EIGHTH-STREET,
NORTHWEST LORAME STREET, AND NORTHEAST'.THIR.TY--FIRST
STREET, IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEAS: MVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
WHEREAS, the,Public Works Director, on the 23rd day o� August, 1957, filed
with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of Meeker Boule-
vard from the westerly lane of Quail Trail to the easterly line of Churchill Road,
known and designated as Unit No. 1; Northwest Twenty-Eighth Street from the south-
erly line of Titus Street to the northerly line of McCandless Street, known and
designated as Unit No. 2; Northwest Loraine Street from the northwesterly line:of
McCandless Street to the southeasterly line of Titus Street, known and designated
as Unit No. 3; Northeast Thirty-First Street from the westerly line of Deen Road to the
easterly line of Hale Street, known and designated as Unit No. 4, the same are hereby
approved as the Specifications under which said work shall be done.
SECTION 2.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for the oonstruc-
tion of the said improvements in accordance with the said Specifications, which
advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort Worth Star Telegram,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort Worth, and shall call for
sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council on or before the
loth day of September, 1957, at 10:00 ofclock A.M. upon which date such bids shall
be opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter. The first publication of said
advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before the date herein set for
opening of Bids.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
