AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT BRADY STREET
FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF WILKES DRIVE SOUTH—
WARD TO THE ACCESS ROAD TO S.E. LOOP 820
BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Brady Street from the south line of Wilkes Drive
southward to the access road to S.E. Loop 820 be and the
same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as
a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character what-
ever, save and except that the vacated right--of-way is re-
served for a utility easement.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to
the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

FNM R® The Land Agent, City of Fort Worth, owner of Lots 8 and 9, Block 1, with
HIM[i the consent of J. 0. Hatcher, owner of Lots 6-9, Block 2, Village Gardens
Addition, has requested that the City vacate Brady Street in the 4300 block
a width of 50 feet and a length of 228.7 feet from the south line of Wilkes
Drive southward to the access road to S. E. Loop 820, as shown on the attached
map.
The subject street, acquired by dedication, is open and paved and contains
gas facilities. The reviewing City departments and private utility companies
have no objections to this request provided the vacated right-of-way is
replatted with abutting property, a drainage easement is provided when the
property is replatted and the vacated right-of-way is retained as a utility
easement.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an
ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as requested. A satis-
factory replat has been submitted to the City staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-
way as recommended by the City Plan Commission,
