AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE NORTHWESTERLY
PORTION OF CRESTLINE ROAD IMMEDIATELY SOUTHEAST
OF AND ADJACENT TO LOTS 36, 37 AND 38 AND PART
OF LOT 35, IN BLOCK B, CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON
HEIGHTS, FIRST FILING, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED,
ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVER-
SION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portion of Crestline Road
be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently
vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or
character whatever, save and except that easements are reserved
for any and all existing utilities:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of
that certain tract of land conveyed to Wendy
Kent Roach by deed recorded in Vol. 5592, page
955, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County,
Texas, and being the northeast corner of the
former street known as Alta Avenue and in the
northwesterly line of Crestline Road at its
intersection with the south line of Lot B of
the McVeigh Subdivision in Block 18 of River-
crest Addition;
Thence south 38 degrees 59 minutes west,
along said northwesterly line of Crestline Road
and along the southeasterly line of said former
street and of said Lots 38, 37, 36 and 35, a dis-
tance of 283 feet to the southeast corner of
said Roach tract and being 17-65/100 feet from
the easterly corner of said Lot 35;
Thence south 50 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds
east, 20 feet;
Thence north 38 degrees 59 minutes east, 20
feet southeasterly from and parallel with said
northwesterly line of Crestline Road, 299-3/10
feet to said south line of said Lot B of McVeigh
Subdivision;
Thence south 89 degrees 54 minutes 30 seconds
west, along said south line of Lot B of McVeigh
Subdivision, 25-8/10 feet to the place of beginning,
and containing 5,826 square feet.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the
fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall
revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Wendy Kent Roach, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
HUMAN vacate extra right-of-way of Crestline Road in the 4800 block a width of 20 feet
and a length of 299.3 feet along the north side, as shown on the attached map
IAI- and further described as being adjacent to Lots 56, 37, 38, part of Lot 35, and
the former street which lies north of and adjacent to said Lot 38, in Block B
of Chamberlin Arlington Heights, First Filing.
The subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, contains a 4-inch intermediate
pressure gas main and is part of the existing 32 foot parkway for Crestline Road
Lone Star Gas Company has requested that the vacated portion of right-of-way be
retained as a utility easement. City departments and private utility companies
have reviewed this request and have no objections provided necessary easements
for utilities are dedicated on a replat.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordin-
ance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as requested. A satisfactory re-
plat has been submitted to the City staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as
recommended by the City Plan Commission.
