Project Description Name: Assessment Paving at Ten Locations on the West Side, Project Number 104-24000-195 Contractor: Ernest Loyd Contract Awarded: January 5, 1970 (M&C C-1641) Work Order Issued: May 7, 1970 (Partial Work Order, Units 1,2,4,5,6 & 10) May 15, 1970 (Full Work Order) Work Order Effective: May 18, 1970 Date of Final Inspection and Approval: October 8, 1970 Working Time Bid: 150 Working Days Working Time Used; 76 Working Days Project Cost and Financing Original Bid Price: $166,594.75 Change Order No. 1: + 72.00 (A.R. 1-15, 2.3.1, 1/12/70, Relocated storm drain pipe) Change Order No 2: - 15,248.00 (M&C G-1501, 2/2/70, Deletes a portion of the sidewalks, adds some driveway construction and deletes Unit 7, Thomas Place) Adjusted Bid Price: $151,418.75 Final Contract Cost: $141,275.58 Partial Payments Previously Made: 4 Amount: $126,343.34 Final Payment Due: $ 14,932.24 Deviation from Adjusted Bid Price: The final contract cost of this project is $10,143.17 less than the adjusted bid price. This under-run was caused primarily by the following: 1) The need for no metal pipe subdrain which resulted in a savings of $7,975.00; and, 2) The cost of utility adjustments was less than expected for a sav- ings of $1,736.82. The remainder of the cost difference, $431.35 is attributed to minor varia- tions between quantities estimated in the contract documents and quantities actually measured and used at the job site. s i DATE REFERENCE SUBJECT: Final Payment - Assessment PAGE NUMBER Paving at Ten Locations on the West Side 2 2 11/30/.70 FP-763 of compliance with Specifications During testing on this project 31 corings were made with the following results: Unit I, (6" Concrete, 4" Crushed.
