I R 8 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE HEREINAFTER DE- SCRIBED PORTIONS OF STREETS IN WESTERN HILLS SECTION 7 ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described portions of streets in Western Hills Section 7 Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as streets or public thorough- fares of any kind or character whatever: 1. Las Palomas Drive, a width of 50 feet and a length of 90 feet, between Lot 7, Block 69, and Lot 8, Block 76; 2. Las Palomas Drive, a width of 50 feet and a length of 90 feet, between Lot 23, Block 75, and Lot 1, Block 76; 3. La Palma Drive, a width of 50 feet and a length of 116.9 feet, between Lot 12, Block 77, and Lot 18, Block 78; 4. Pico Lane, a width of 50 feet and a length of 90 feet between Lots 14 and 15, Block 78, and Lot 15, Block 80. 5. Cul-de-sac in Block 76. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said streets is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Las Palomas a width of 50 feet and a length of 90 feet between Lot 7, Block 69, and Lot 8, Block 76, Western Hills #7 Addition; 2. Las Palomas a width of 50 feet and a length of 90 feet between Lot 23, Block 75, and Lot 1, Block 76, Western Hills #7 Addition; 3. La Palma a width of 50 feet and a length of 116.9 feet between Lot 12, Block 77 and Lot 18, Block 78, Western Hills #7 Addition; 4. Pico Lane a width of 50 feet and a length of 90 feet between Lots 14 and 15, Block 78, and Lot 15, Block 80, Western Hills #7 Addition; 5. Cul-de-sac in Block 76, Western Hills #7 Addition. Subject rights-of-way were acquired by dedication and are not paved. Las Palomas Drive as shown on the attached exhibit and to the east of the portion being vacated has not been dedicated as a street. The exhibit shows the streets on a preliminary plat which will be revised when final platting occurs. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the Applicant plats the vacated rights-gf-way with adjoining property. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public rights-of-way as requested, subject to the condition recommended above by the City departments and private utility companies. The Applicant has submitted a replat (Sf-69-39) that incorporates the rights- of-way proposed for vacation with adjoining properties. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as recommended by the. City Plan Commission. HDM:ms Attach.
