AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND EXTENDING THE
PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 1713, AN AMEND-
MENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 1692, BY PROVIDING
FOR THE RESTRICTION AND LIMITATION OF PARK-
ING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF EXCHANGE AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING
A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF; AND PRO-
VIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULA-
TIVE OF ALL OTHER TRAFFIC ORDINANCES, EX-
CEPT WHERE IN DIRECT CONFLICT WITH THE PRO-
VISIONS HEREOF; AND FURTHER PROVIDING THAT
ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTION'S THEREOF IN CON-
FLICT WITH THE PROVISIONS HEREOF SHALL BE
DEEMED REPEALED, INSOFAR AS SUCH CONFLICT
EXISTS; AND PROVIDING THAT THE HOLDING OF
ANY PORTION HEREOF TO BE INVALID SHALL NOT
AFFECT THE VALIDITY OF ANY OTHER PORTION
OR PROVISION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That Paragraph 2 of subsection "f" of Section 26, Article
6 of Ordinance No. 1713, said ordinance being an amendment of the
Revised Traffic Code of the City of Fort North, Texas, and said
traffic code being Ordinance No. 1692, be amended and extended to
restrict parking on certain portions of Exchange Avenue in th8 City
of Fort Worth, Texas, as follows:
(f) It shall be unlawful for the driver or owner
of any vehicle to park said vehicle or permit the
same to be parked, stand or remain for a period in
excess of two hours on any portion of the streets
and within the limits hereinafter designated, where
parking of vehicles is permitted under the terms of
this ordinance; and such time limit shall apply be-
tween the hours of eight a.m. and six-thirty p.m.,
except on Sunday:
(2) Exchange Avenue from the east line of North
Main Street east five hundred and sixty-one (561)
feet on said Exchange Avenue.
SECTION II.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00).
SECTION III.
All ordinances insofar as the same or portions of the same
shall be in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
SECTION IV.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be cumulative of all
other ordinances regulating traffic upon the streets of the City of
Fort Worth, except where the same are in conflict with the pro-
visions of this ordinance.
SECTION
Should any section or part of section of this ordinance be
declared to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision or judgment shall not affect the remaining sections or
parts of sections of this ordinance which shall continue to be in
full force and effect.
SECTION VI.
This ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage and five days publication as provided by law.
