APPOINTING A MEMBER TO SERVE ON THE TARRANT COUNTY 911
EMERGENCY DISTRICT BOARD OF MANAGERS
WHEREAS, the Tarrant County 911 Emergency District ("District") was created
pursuant to Texas Health and Safety Code Section 772; and
WHEREAS, the District is governed by a Board of Managers consisting of five (5)
voting members and one (1) non-voting member; and
WHEREAS, two (2) voting members of the District's Board of Managers are
appointed by the City of Fort Worth's Mayor, with approval of the City Council, in
accordance with Section 772.106(a) of the Texas Health and Safety Code; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Managers has a vacancy in a position term held by one
(1) of the members appointed by the City of Fort Worth, creating the need for a new
appointment for the unexpired term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council hereby appoints Krystal James to serve at the will of the City of
Fort Worth as a member of the District Board of Managers for an unexpired term ending
on April 1, 2012.
