ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING RALPH BACCUS BAXTER, HIS HEIRS AND
ASSIGNS TO RETAIN HIS BUILDING AS IT NOW ENCROACHES ON TRAVIS
AVENUE IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS, Ralph Baccus Baxter, a sinrle man, is the owner of Lot No. 1
in Block No. 6, of College Hill Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, and it is claimed that the building on said lot encroaches
on Travis Avenue as followss
An encroachment one foot wide beginning 6.5 feet from
the N. W. corner of Lot No. 1 in Block No. 6, College
Hill Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, extending 50 feet south from said beginning
point.
WHEREAS, such encroachment, if any, is too slight to require removal
thereof] NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF FORT WORTHS
SECTION I•
That Ralph Baccus Baxter, the owner of said land above described and
the improvements thereon or his heirs or assigns be not required to remove
such encroachment and that said improvements on said above described real
property be allowed to stand as same are now constructed during the life of
said building, provided however, that in the event such building be demolished
or major alterations and repairs be made to said building in the future, that
same be reconstructed to meet the requirements of the limits of the above
mentioned tract.
SECTION II.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and it is so ordained.

I, B. S. BIRDSONG, City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing ordinance was
duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council in
the Council Chamber at the City Hall held on Wednesday, January 7,
1948.
In testimony whereof, I have signed my name officially and
affixed the seal of the City of Fort Aorth, Texas, this 7th day of
January, A. D. 1948.
