ORDINANCE N0. CITY SECRETARY FL WORTH, TEX.
AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Whereas, the City Council finds that the hereinafter described property consti-
tutes a contiguous, unimproved tract of land of approximately 0.488 square miles
located within the corporate limits and adjoining the lines of the City of Fort
Worth; now, Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said
tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 9 miles east from the Court House of Tarrant
County, Texas, and embracing portions of the R. R. Ramey and J. M. Steiner
Surreys and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 200 feet east from the east right-of-way line of
Cook's Lane, and 300 feet north from the north right-of-way line of U. S.
Highway No. 80 (East).
THENCE northerly, along a line which is 200 feet east from, and parallel
to, and concentric with the east right-of-way line of Cook's Lane, to its
intersection with the south right-of-way line of Meadowbrook Drive.
THENCE easterly, along the south right-of-way line of Meadowbrook Drive,
to its intersection with the west line of the S. C. Culver Survey.
THENCE southerly, along the west line of the S. C. Culver Survey to
its southwest corner in the north line of the R. R. Ramey Survey.
THENCE easterly, along the north line of the R. R. Ramey Survey to
its northeast corner.
THENCE southerly, along the east line of the R. R. Ramey Survey to
its intersection with the middle of Village Creek.
THENCE in a southwesterly direction up the middle of village Creek with
its meanders, to a point 300 feet north from the north right-of-way line
of U. S. Highway No. 80 (East).
THENCE westerly, along a line 300 feet north from, and parallel to,
the north right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 80 ( East) to the place
of beginning and continuing approximately 0.488 square miles.
Section 2.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on
the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date
of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the
City of Fort Worth.
Section 4.
That this ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
