AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THE UTILITY
EASEMENT IN LOT 1-R, BLOCK 2, WESTGATE ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
THAT IS 15 FEET WIDE AND EXTENDS 220 FEET IN A
SOUTHEASTERLY DIRECTION FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF
AN EIGHT FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE NORTH
LINE OF SAID LOT 1--Ri AND PROVIDING FOR THE RE-
VERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
IN SAID LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the utility easement in Lot 1-R, Block 2, Westgate
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,
that is 15 feet wide and extends 220 feet in a southeasterly
direction from the south line of an eight foot utility ease-
meat along the north line of said Lot 1-R, be and the same
is hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently aban-
doned as an easement for public utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said easement above described is hereby released
and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided
by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

A. P. Simons Co. , owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
vacate the utility easement in Lot 1-R, Block 2, Westgate Addition, that is
15 feet wide and extends 220 feet in a southeasterly direction from the south
line of an 8 foot utility easement along the north line of said Lot 1-R as shown
on the attached map.
Subject easement contains an abandoned 6 inch sanitary sewer line.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have determined that subject easement will not be needed in the future.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an
ordinance vacating the utility easement as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject easement as
recommended by the City 'Plan Commission.
