JR3 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF REA STREET, FROM THE POLY FREEWAY (HWY. 287) TO EAST MORPHY STREET, TO EAST MORPHY STREET; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF SIMILAR ORDI- NANCES AFFECTING STREET NAMES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the name of Rea Street, from the Poly Freeway (Hwy. 287) to East Morphy Street and bounded by Lots 1, 11, 12 and 13, Parkview Addition, is hereby changed to East Morphy Street. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances affecting the names of streets in the City of Fort Worth except insofar as it may be in conflict with the provisions of those ordinances, in which instance they are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. This subject portion of East Morphy Street is not accessible to vehic- W,)CD ular traffic, has no dwellings facing it, and is proposed to be vacated in the future. Therefore, a confusing "on-the-ground" condition can be remedied by renaming Rea Street to East Morphy Street. See attached map. The four residences facing Rea Street have been notified and are in favor of this street name change. The Police, Fire, Traffic, Public Works, and Water Departments of the City and the Postmaster have reviewed this request and have no objections. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted changing the name of Rea Street, from the Poly Freeway to East Morphy Street, to East Morphy Street.
