HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2971 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2082, BEING AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE, OR OTHER PURPOSES, THE HEIGHT, NUMBER OF STORIES, AND SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES, AND THE DENSITY OF POPULATION, AND FOR SAID PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE MUNICIPALITY INTO SUCH DISTRICTS OF NUMBER, SHAPE AND AREA AS. MAY BE DEEMED BEST BY FIX- ING DEFINITE USES OF THE BUILDINGS HEREINAFTER ERECT- ED IN SAID DESCRIBED AREAS FROM THE USES AS SHOWN ON THE MAPS CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO. 2082; PRE- SCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $5.00 NOR MORE THAN $50.00 FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND THAT EACH DAY THAT A VIOLATION IS PER- MITTED TO EXIST SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 2082 be amended so that the following described uses in the hereinafter described areas be altered, changed and amended as follows to wit: RECOMMENDED CHANGE AREAS FROM TO Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block 10, Homewood Addi- tion; Lot A, Block 7; and Lot B, Block 8, Kgwood Heights Addition "A" "E" (4500 block of Miller Avenue) Lots 16, 17, 18 and 19, Block 17, Highland Homes Addition "A" "E" (7500 block of Benbrook Road) Lots 1 through 13, Tom Butler Addition "A" "B" (1700 and 1800 blocks Seminary Drive) Lots 11 through 17, Greves Addition "B" "C" (1000 block of Conner Avenue) Lots 1 and 10, Block 7; and Lot 2, Black 4, Bailey Industrial Addition "C" & "F" "J" (2800 block of Tillar) Lots 1 through 5, Block 2; Lots 3 through 11, Block 5; Van Zandts Hillside Addition; and Lots 13 through 20, Block 4. Wm. J. Bailey Addition "D" "G" (3300 block of W. 7th Street and Darcy Avenue) Lot 69 Block 15; and Lot 5, Block 16, Jennings South Addition "D" "J" (800 and 900 blocks of W. Daggett Street) lAed Lots 13, Ill} and 15, Block 16, and Lots 22, 23 and 24, Block 17, Ryan and Pruitt Addition "B" "E" (2900 and 3000 blocks of So. Pecan Street) Area annexed by Ordinance No. 2954, located in the G. J. Ashabranner Survey, between Miller Aveme and Edgewood Terrace, from Eastland Street to B. Jackson Addition Annexed "A" Area Meadawbrook Hills Addition and Tracts 1, 2, 2A-1, 2A-lA and 2A-1B in the James B. Martin Survey (Between Weiler Blvd. and Oakhill Road Annexed "A" Area Southland Terrace Addition, Third Filing (900 and 1000 blocks Gambrell and Hammond Sts. Annexed "A" Area SECTION 2. Should any section, clause or provision of this ordinance be declared by the Court to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the Ordi- nance as a whole or any part thereof, other than the part so declared to be invalid. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five and No/100 Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($50.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required by law.
