AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT WAYNE STREET FROM GOD-
DARD STREET TO THE NORTH LOT LINES OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1,
AND LOT 1, BLOCK 2, BERT M. DAVENPORT ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE
VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED, PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Wayne Street from Goddard Street to the north lot
lines of Lot 1, Block 1, and Lot 1, Block 2, Bert M. Daven-
port Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, a length of 480 feet and a width of 50 feet, be
and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently
vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or
character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall
revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Mr. J. D. "Buddie" Thompson, agent for the owners of all abutting property,
REED has requested the City to vacate Wayne Street from Goddard Street to the
north lot lines of Lot 1, Block 1 and Lot 1, Block 2, of the Bert M.
L Davenport Addition, a length of 480 feet and a width of 50 feet, as shown
on the attached map.
The subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is not open on the
ground.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request
and have no objection to this vacation provided the applicant plats the
vacated right-of-way with adjoining property, dedicates 5 feet additional
right-of-way on Goddard Street, and provides a standard barricade at the
end of Wayne Street.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption
of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to
the conditions recommended above by the City departments and private utility
companies.
The applicant has submitted a replat which incorporates the conditions
requested by the City Plan Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject
right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
