NUMBER West Thirteenth Street
5110/65 PZ-136 l of
Child Study Center, Inc., represented by Mr. Robert W. Decker, its duly
authorized agent, the owner of all abutting property, has requested the
abandoTlment of West Thirteenth Street from the west right-of-way line of
Collier Street, west to the east right-of-way line of Ballinger Street, as
shown on the attached map. Closing the street would permit the Child S-tudy
Center to expand its facilities in an orderly manner over a two block area.
Private utility companies, Public Works, Water, Traffic Engineering and
Planning Departments do not object to the closing, provided the full width
of the street is reserved as an easement for an existing 36-inch water
main.
On April 14, 1965, the City -Plan Commission reviewed the request and recom-
mended adoption of an ordinance that has been prepared abandoning the street
as requested and reserving it as an easement for an existing water main.
