AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS
IN RYAN'S SOUTHEAST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PORT WORTH,
TARRANT COMM, TE7=, BETS EVANS AVENUE AND NEW YORK
AVENUE, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED, AND EXCEPTING
THE RIGHTS OF ALL PUBLIC UTILITIES HERETOFORE ACQUIRED IN
SAID PORTIONS OF SAID STREETS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND, AND REPEALING ALL OR-
DIN=ES IN CONFLICT HERM11M, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That in order to promote and protect the public safety, and
particularly the safety of public school pupils and teachers attending
the school or schools established by the Fort Worth Independent School
District on a school site which it has acquired in Ryan's Southeast
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, the following
described portions of the following named streets in Ryan's Southeast
Addition shall be and are hereby vacated, abandoned and closed, to wit:
East Robert Street between Evans Avenue and New York Avenue.
Colvin Avenue between Evans Avenue and New York Avenue.
SECTION II.
That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of con-
structing and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed,
revoked, or abrogated by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said
rights as above set out shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION M.
That all titles, easements and rights of the City of Fort Worth
in and to the above described portions of streets shall be and are hereby
released and surrendered to the respective owners of the lots abutting
thereon.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in eonfliet herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
