AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE WESTERN 5'
OF A 20' UTILITY EASEMENT WHICH TRAVERSES
LOT 4, BLOCK 1, FORD ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, PARALLEL TO THE I-35-W
NORTH SERVICE ROAD BE VACATED, ABANDONED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PRO-
VIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described western 5' of a 20'
utility easement which traverses Lot 4, Block 1, Ford
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, parallel to the I-35-W
north service road, being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
Being the westerly five feet of a twenty foot utility
easement along and adjacent to the easterly line of
Lot 4, Block 1, Ford Addition as recorded in Volume
388-98, Page 12 of the Tarrant County Plat Records
and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the southeast corner of said Lot 4,
Block 1, Ford Addition;
THENCE south 60 degrees 19 minutes west along the
south line of said Lot 4 and the north line of Mony
Street a distance of 21.88 feet;
THENCE north 5 degrees 46 minutes west for a distance
of 432.10 feet;
THENCE north 60 degrees 19 minutes east a distance of
5.47 feet;
THENCE south 5 degrees 46 minutes east for a distance
of 432.10 feet to a point in the north right-of-way
line of Mony Street;
THENCE south 60 degrees 19 minutes west along said
north line of Mony Street a distance of 5.47 feet to
the poing of Beginning and containing 2160 square
feet of land more or less.
be and the same is hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and
permanently abandoned as an easement for public utilities,
SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are reserved therein for any
and all existing and prospective utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described easement
is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent owners as
provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are reserved
for any and all existing and prospective utilities.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

RCED R081NS N Mr. H. Clayton Brants, Jr. , Trustee, on behalf of Jim Griffith and Lee
Smith, owners of Lot 4. Block 1, Ford Addition, has requested the City
�}- Vacate the western 5' of a 20' utility easement which traverses Lot 4
parallel to the West service road of the North Freeway, as shown on the
attached map.
Subject portion of the easement is not in use and contains no public
facilities. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies
have no objections to this request and recommend that the request be
approved as submitted.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject easement
as recommended.
