AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE NORTH-SOUTH
ALLEY IN BLOCK 2, RYAN PLACE ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PRO-
VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
SECTION 1.
That the north-south alley in Block 2, Ryan Place
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,
be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently
abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or
character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law, save
and except that easements are reserved for any and all exist-
ing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

PZ-323 Addition (V-68-49) for
Charles Mays, Jr. , with the consent of all the adjoining property owners, has
requested the City to vacate the north-south alley within Block 2, Ryan Place
Addition, as shown on the attached map.
The alley is paved between Lots 9 and 10. The remainder is open and not paved.
If the request is granted, the owners intend to replat the vacated right-of-way
with their adjoining properties to provide additional yard space.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objection to this vacation, provided the Applicants plat the vacated
right-of-way with their adjoining properties and retain the vacated right-of-
way as an easement for existing utilities.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed the request and recommends adoption of an
ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to the condi-
tions recommended above by the City Departments and private utility companies.
The Applicants have submitted a replat which incorporates the conditions
requested by the City Plan Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as
recommended by the City Plan Commission.
