AN ORDINANCE EXEMMING TIE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO TIE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE AM-1111,TISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY 1:11 ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER MIII OF THE CIrf CHL,tTER; AIIENDING, ALL (RDINANCES IN C01131ICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 32 IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEKAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 11 miles west from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or cart of the G. M. Petitt, S. Petitt, J. Burleson, J. Johnson, C. K. Gleason, W. H. Garrett, B. P. Richerson, J. Kelsey, 11thaniel Holbrook, 3 B B & C R,R, Co., A. Stallions, J. W. Oxford, T. 0. Moody, J. D. Farmer, Jno. Mc Horse, J. P. Woods, J. S. Ward, G. B. Kenney, T & N 0 R.R. Co., and N. S. Laney Surveys, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the east right-of-way line of Dr. Harris Road (County Road No. 11012), at its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1022 produced east; THMTCE west, to and along the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1022, and the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1022 produced west, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort 'Worth, to its inter- section with the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 1041; THENCE south, along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, the west right-of-way lineof County Road No. 1041, to a point 300 feet north from the northwest right-of-way line of proposed Highway 1-20; H—T ONCE southwest, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, parallel to and 300 feet northwest from the northwest right-of-way line of proposed Highway 1-20, and along said line produced southwesterly to its intersection with the north right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 80; THENCE west, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the north right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. 80, to its inter- section with the west line of Tarrant County; THENCE north, along the west line of Tarrant County to its intersec- tion with the south line of the N. S. Laney Survey produced west; T111NCE east, to and along the south line of the N. S. Laney Survey to its southeast corner; THMNCE North, along the east line of the N. S. Laney Survey, to its intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1007; THENCE southeasterly and easterly, along the south-westeriy and southerly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1007, to its intersection with the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Vio2th, the east right-of-way line of Dr. Harris Road (County Road No. 1012); THENCE souther7y, southeasterly, and southerly along the present City Limit Line of the City cf Fort Worth, the east, northeast, and east right- of-way line of Dr. Harris Road (County Road No. 1012) with its meanders, to the place of beginning and containing approximately 9.0 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more pai-titularly this ordinance: expressly amends Ordinance No. 3849, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to ail other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith, this ordinance shall be and is hereby made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published'one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 5. That this ordinance shall become,effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
