AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory hying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 10 miles northeast from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the S. Cotrail, A.B. Howerton, W.P. Burns, J.A. Hust, J. Overton, W. Bradshaw, S. Davis, J. Armendaris, W.J. Bonner, A. Hampton, and J.R. Newton Surveys, and being more fully described as followst BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, at the intersection of the east right-of-way line of Randol Mill-Hurst-Precinct Line Road (County Road No. 3035) with the middle of the Trinity River; THENCE dawn the middle of the Trinity River, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, with its meanders, in an easterly direc- tion, to its intersection with the north line of the J. L. Hallum Survey; THENCE east, along the north line of the J. L. Hallum Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of Bedford Arlington Road (County Road No. 3094); THENCE north, along the most right-of-way line of Bedford Arlington Road (County Road No. 3094) the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth to its intersection with the south right-of-ray line of the C.R.I. & G. R.R.; THENCE westerly, along the southerly right-of-way line of the C.R.I. & G. R.R.,the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth to its intersection with the east line of the R. P. Barton Survey; THENCE south, along the east lines of the R. P. Barton and W. P. Burns Surveys,the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth to a point 2000 feet south from the southerly right-of-way line of the C.R.I. & G. R.R.; THENCE westerly, along a line parallel to and 2000 feet southerly from the southerly right-of-way line of the C.R.I. & G R.R., the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east right-of-W line of Souder Hurst Road (County Road No. 3104); THENCE south, along the east right-of-way line of Souder Hurst Road (County Road No. 3104), the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of Trammell- Davis Road (County Road No. 3112); THENCE west, along the south right-of-way line of Trammell-Davis Road (County Road No. 3312), the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of Randol Mill-Hurst-Precinct Line Road (County Road No. 3035); THENCE south, along the east right-of-way line of Randol Mill-Hurst- Precinct Line Road (County Road No. 3035), the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to the place of beginning and containing approx- imately 3.228 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 3871, heretofore adopted and passed on May 23, 1958, but as to all other ordinances or section of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of compe- tent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 5. That this ordinance shall became effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
