AN CRRDINANCE ESTABLISHING BUILDING LINES
ON WLBTHRRFORD STREET FROM LEXINGTON STREET TO
PENN STREET, AND PROHIBITING THE ERECTIONS CON-
STRUCTION, REGMSTRUCTION OR PLACING OF ANY
BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES BETWEEN SAID BUILDING
LINES AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, it is considered by the City Council
of the City of Fort Worth, that the safety, convenience and
general welfare of the public make it necessary that the erec-
tion, construction, reconstruction or placing of any building,
obstruction or structure of any kind or character be prohibited
nearer to the property line on either side of Weatherford Street
from Lexington Street to Penn Street, than is hereafter set
out.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH:
SECTION I.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corpo-
ration, or association o#o"ons in the City of Fort Worth,
Texas, to bukld, construct, place, erect or reconstruct any
building or structure of any kind or nature whatsoever along
Weatherford Street from Lexington Street to Penn Street,
between the fallowing described building lines, to-wit:
1. A building line twenty(2O1 ) feet northerly
from the northerly property line of Weatherford
Street from a point one hundred fifty nine (1591)
feet southwesterly from the westerly property line
of Lexington Street to the northerly extension of
the westerly property line of Penn Street;
and
2. A building line no feet southerly from
the southerly property line of Weatherford Street
from Lexington Street to a point ninety-eight (981 )
feet northeasterly from the easterly property line
of Penn Street.
SECTION II.
That any person, firm, corporation or association
of persons who shall violate any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be subjec#, to a fine not to exceed One 'Hundred
($100.00) Dollars.
SECTION III.
That each and every day any such building, erection
or structure shall remain in violation of this Ordinance shall
be deemed and constitute a separate and distinct offense.
SECTION IV.
The holding or adjudication of any section, portion,
clause or part hereof to be invalid small not affect the validity
of any other section, partiono clause or part hereof, but all
such sections, portions, clauses andoarts hereof shall be and
remain valid.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall beocme effective and shall
be in full force and effect from and after the date publi,sbad
as required by law.
