AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THAT PORTION OF ASHCROFT LANE FROM ALLENBROOKE
DRIVE SOUTH TO THE NORTH LINE OF HAMLET DRIVE,
VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A 15 FOOT
UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF BLOCK
19, SOUTHCREEK ADDITION, AND THE NORTH LINE OF
BLOCK 1, HAMLET ADDITION„ FROM MICHAEL DRIVE TO
ASHCROFT LANE; VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
A 10 FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE COMMON LOT
LINE OF LOTS 15 AND 16, BLOCK 19, SOUTHCREEK
ADDITION; VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A
10 FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE SOUTH LINE
OF BLOCK 18, SOUTHCREEK ADDITION, FROM ASHCROFT
LANE TO BEACON DRIVE; AND VACATING A 10 FOOT
UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE COMMON LOT LINE OF
LOTS 22 AND 23, BLOCK 18, SOUTHCREEK ADDITION;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE-
COME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That that portion of Ashcroft Lane lying in the 9300
Block thereof and having a variable width of from 50 feet
to 60 feet and a length of approximately 880 feet from
Allenbrooke Drive South to the North line of Hamlet Drive
be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and perman-
ently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any
kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the following described utility easements be and
the same are hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and per-
manently abandoned as easements for public utilities:
The 15 foot utility easement along the
South line of Block 19, Southcreek Addition
and the North line of Block 1, Hamlet
Addition from Michael Drive to Ashcroft
Lane;
The 10 foot utility easement along the
common lot line of Lots 15 and 16, Block
19, Southcreek Addition;
The 10 foot utility easement along the
South line of Block 18, Southcreek Addition,
from Ashcroft Lane to Beacon Drive; and
The 10 foot utility easement along the
common lot line of Lots 22 and 23, Block
18, Southcreek Addition.
SECTION 3.
That the fee to the land in the above described portion
of Ashcroft Lane and in the utility easements hereinabove
described is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are
reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

Sage Corporation, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
MIILKES vacate Ashcroft Lane in the 9300 block a width variable from 50' to 60' and a
length of approximately 880 ft. from Allenbrooke Drive south to the north line
of Hamlet Drive; and to vacate a 15' utility easement along the south line of
Block 19, Southcreek Addition and the north line of Block 1, Hamlet Addition,
from Michael Drive to Ashcroft Lane; and to vacate a 10' utility easement along
the common lot line of Lots 15 & 16, Block 19, Southcreek Addition; and to va-
ca e a 10' utility easement along the south line of Block 18, Southcreek Addi-
tion from Ashcroft to Beacon Drive; and to vacate a 10' utility easement along
the common lot lines of Lots 22 and 23, Block 18, Southcreek Addition, as shown
on the attached map
Subject street right-of-day, acquired by dedication, is neither paved nor open,
and contains no public facilities. Subject easement rights-of-way, also acquired
by dedication, are not in use and contain no public facilities.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to
this request provided:
1. A satisfactory replat of the vacated street right-of-way is provided by
City Staff;
2 Utility easements are provided as required.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordi-
nance be adopted vacating subject right--of-way as requested. A satisfactory
replat has been submitted to City Staff.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
and utility easements as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
