Q AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF CRESTLINE ROAD ADJACENT TO THE NORTHWEST LINE OF BLOCK 26, CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS FIRST FILING ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described portion of Crestline Road adjacent to the northwest line of Block 26, Chamberlin Arlington Heights First Filing Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever: Being a part of Crestline Road, between Dex- ter Avenue and Neville Street, adjacent to Block 26, Chamberlin Arlington Heights, First Filing to the City of Fort Worth, according to the plat recorded in Vol. 63, page 21, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particu- larly described as follows : BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 21 in said Block 26, said corner being in the east line of Neville Street at its intersection with the southeasterly line of Crestline Road; THENCE north 26.25 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE north 43 degrees 39 minutes east along a line 18.0 feet northwesterly from and parallel to the said southeasterly line of Crestline Road 244.0 feet to an iron pin for corner; THENCE east 24.95 feet to an iron pin in the north line of Lot 13 in said Block 26, said iron pin being in the south line of Dexter Avenue at its intersection with the southeasterly line of Crestline Road; THENCE south 43 degrees 39 minutes west along the northwesterly line of said Block 26 and the southeasterly line of Crestline Road 280.03 feet to the point of beginning, and containing 4,716 square feet of land. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re- vert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Clayton Brants, Jr. and Dan W. Yarbrough, owners of all adjoining land, €� have requested that the City vacate a portion of the parkway of the 5050 Block of Crestline Road, said portion being 18 feet in width, approxi- mately 240 feet in length and lying adjacent to the northwest line of { Block 26, Chamberlin Arlington Heights 1st Filing, as shown on the attached map. Subject right-of-way was acquired by dedication. If this request is granted, the Applicants intend to replat and to utilize the vacated right- of-way for additional yard area. City depaftments and private utilitv companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the Applicants replat and furnish all necessary easements. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-sway as requested. A satisfac- tory replat has been submitted. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating sub-lect right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
