AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACMTI- TO TIM CITY OF FORT
WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A
DAILY N'LdSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY
CHARTER; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CCNFLICT HER dI'TH; PRE-
SCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort
Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral
part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County,
Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land lying approximately 12 miles northwest from
the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, lying in and including all or
part of the J. Wilcox No. 38, T. Smallwood, D. Perry, S. Best, L. Killing-
ton, W. E. Boswell, E. T. Nice, E. W. Billingston, S. T. Hovens, Thomas
Hicks, A. L. Hill, M. Hunt, J. Wilcox No. 39, J. Wilcox No. 40, J. Wilcox
No. 43, J. A. McCarty, 0. K. Davis, S A & M G R.R. and D. P. Newsom Surveys,
and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort Worth, 50 feet north frcm the north line of the M. Hunt Survey, and
350 feet west from the center line of State Highway No. 199 (Jacksboro
Highway);
THENCE west, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 50 feet north from the north line of the M. Hunt
Survey and parallel to and 50 feet north from the north line of the M.
Hunt Survey produced west to its intersection with a line parallel to and
50 feet west from the west line of the M. hunt Survey produced north;
THENCE south along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 50 feet west from the west lineof the M. Hunt Survey
produced north, and parallel to and 50 feet west from the west line of the
M. Hunt Survey, to a point 50 feet north from the north right-of-way line
of State Farm to Market Road No. 1886;
THENCE west along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 50 feet north from the north right-of-way line of
State Farm to Market Road No. 1886, to a point 50 feet west frcm the west
line of the A. Van Norstrand Survey produced north;
THKICE south along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 50 feet west from the west line of the A. V<x:
Norstrand Survey produced north, and 50 feet west from the west line of
the A. Van Norstrand Survey to a point 50 feet south from the north line
of the J. Wilcox Survey No. 3;
THENCE east along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 50 feet south from the north line of the J. Wilcox
Survey No. 3, to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of County
Road No. 11031;
Th'6710E southerly along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, the east right-of-way line of County Road No. 4031, to its intersec-
tion with the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, as said line
is described in the corporate boundary description of the City of Fort Worth
in Fort Worth City Code of 1950;
TIIE"idCE southerly, with its meanders, along the present City Limit Line
of the City of Fort Worth, said line is described in the corporate boundary
description of the City of Fort Worth in the Fort Worth City Code of 1950,
to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road Ido. 1007;
THENCE westerly along the southerly right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1007, with its -meanders, to its intersection with the east line of the
N. S. Laney Survey;
THEHNCE south along the east "line of the N. S. Laney Survey to its
southeast corner;
THIMUCE west along the south line of the 1:1. S. Laney Survey and the
south line of the W. S. Laney Survey produced west to its intersection
with the west line of Tarrant County;
TMCE north along the weEt line of Tarrant County to its intersection
with the north line of the D. P. Newsom Survey;
TFMICE east along the north -line of the D. P. Newsom Survey, to its
northeast corner;
THEITCE south along the east line of the D. P. Newsom Survey to the

northerly northwest corner of the S A & M G 2.R. Co. Survey;
THENCE east along the north line of the S A & 14 G R.R. Co. Survey, to
its northeast corner;
T=;CZ north along the west line of the J. Wilcox Survey No. 43, to the
northwest corner of the J. Wilcox Survey No. 43;
THENCE east along the north line of the J. Wilcox Survey No. 43, to a
point 350 feet west from the center line of State Highway No. 199;
THEME southeasterly along a line parallel to and 350 feet scuthwester-y
from the center line of State Highway No. lgc,, to the place of beginning and
containing approximately 20-36 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict
herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance Nos. 4734 and
3826, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances
of sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and
is hereby made cumulative.

Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published'one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions,of the ordinance.
Section 5•
That this ordinance shall become.efSective and be in full force and effect upon
its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the
date of•its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
