AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX-
ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT TIM ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED
IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN $AID CITY IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE
CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being
situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
Being an addition known as Southcrest Addition, in the
M. I. Arocha Survey, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of James Street and
the north line of Southcrest Drive extended;
Thence west along the north line of Southcrest Drive approxi-
mately 2286.3 feet to the east right of way line of the Gulf,
Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad;
Thence south 1 degree 59 minutes west along the east right
of way line of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad ap-
proximately 1191.0 feet to the center line of the proposed
Southwest Loop Highway;
Thence south 74 degrees 45 minutes east along the center
line of said proposed Southwest Loop Highway approximately
2027.0 feet to the point of the east line of the Farm to
Market Road No. 731;
Thence north 32 degrees 05 minutes east along the east line
of the Farm to Market Road No. 731 approximately 275.8 feet to
the beginning of a curve to the left with a radius of 1206.2
feet and along said curve on the east line of the Farm to Market
Road No. 731 approximately 615 feet to a point on the east
line of James Street and on the east line of the Farm to Market
Road No. 731 extended, said point'being also in the present
City of Fort Worth city limit line;
Thence north along the present city limit line and along the
east line of James Street approximately 893 feet to the place
of beginning, said tract containing approximately 73 acres.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth Star-
Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort North, in accord
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVII7 of the City Charter.
