AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN
HAGAN HEIRS ADDITION, BAKER HEIGHTS ADDITION AND ROSEN
HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED, AND EXCEPTING THE
RIGHTS OF ALL PUELIC UTILITIES HERETOFORE ACQUIRED IN SAID
PORTIONS OF SAID STREETS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE FIE IN SAID LAND, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE I12ZDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TES CITY COUNCIL OF '1M CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That in order to promote and protect the public safety, and
particularly the safety of public school pupils and teachers attending the
school or schools to be established by the Fort Worth Independent School
District on a school site which it has acquired in Hagan Heirs Addition,
Baker heights Addition and Rosen Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, the following described portions of the following
named streets in said additions shall be and are hereby vacated, abandoned
and closed, to wit:
Hagan Avenue from the west line of Fielder Street to Hannah Avenue;
Rosen Avenue from Twenty-third Street to Hagan Avenue;
Twenty-second Street from McKinley Avenue to Hagan Avenue;
Hannah Avenue from Twenty-third Street to Hagan Avenue;
Park Lane from Hagan Avenue to Terrace Avenue;
Van Ness Street from Hagan Avenue to Terrace Avenue;
Mary Street from Henry Avenue to the north line of Hagan Heirs
Addition; and
Henry Avenue from Fielder Street to Mary Street.
SECTION II.
That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of con-
structing and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed,
revoked or abrogated by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said
rights as above set out shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION III.
That all titles, easements and rights of the City of Fort Worth in
and to the above described portions of streets shall be and are hereby released
and surrendered to the respective owners of the lots abutting thereon.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
