(D&J AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT WELLESLEY AVENUE IN THE 4800 BLOCK ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE ADJACENT TO LOTS I THROUGH 20, BLOCK 28, CHAMBERLIN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 2ND FILING, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AND FLETCHER AVENUE IN THE 4800 BLOCK ALONG THE NORTH SIDE AD- JACENT TO LOTS 21 THROUGH 40, BLOCK 28 OF SAID ADDITION, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PRO- VIDING FURTHER THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 28 OF SAID ADDITION FROM ELDRIDGE TO SANGUINET STREETS BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID RIGHTS-OF-WAY; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EF- FECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Wellesley Avenue in the 4800 block along the south side adjacent to Lots 1 through 20, Block 28, Chamberlin Arlington Heights, 2nd Filing, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and Fletcher Avenue in the 4800 block along the north side adjacent to Lots 21 through 40, Block 28 of said Addition, be and the same are hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as streets or public thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the alley in Block 28, Chamberlin Arlington Heights, 2nd Filing, from Eldridge to Sanguinet Streets, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character what- ever. SECTION 3. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said streets and alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Haggard, Trustee, has requested that the City vacate extra right-bf-way on Wellesley Avenue in the 4800 block along the south side adjacent to Lots 1 through 20, Block 28, a width of 10 feet and —� a length of 500 feet; to vacate extra right-of-way on Fletcher Avenue � fU in the 4800 block along the north side adjacent to Lots 21 through 40, Block 28, a width of 10 feet and a length of 500 feet; and, to vacate the alley in Block 28, Chamberlin Arlington Heights, 2nd Filing, a width of 16 feet and a length of 500 feet from Eldridge to Sanguinet Streets as shown on the-attached map. Subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are unimproved. Texas Electric Service Company requests that an easement be retained for main-line distribution feeder located within the alley. The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to this request provided the Applicant replats and fur- nishes all necessary easements for existing utilities. The City has received a satisfactory replat and the City Plan Commission has re- viewed this request and recommends that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
