AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY LOCATED
BETWEEN BLOCK "B", ROCK ISLAND ADDITION, AND
LOT 17, PRICE'S ADDITION, BE ABANDONED, VACATED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the alley located between Block "B", Rock Island
Addition, and Lot 17, Price's Addition, a length of fifty
feet and a width of twenty feet, be and the same is hereby
vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or
public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall re-
vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Mr. J. D. "Buddie" Thompson, owner of all abutting property, has requested
the City to vacate the alley located between Block B, Rock Island Addition
and Lot 17, Price's Addition, a length of 50 feet and a width of 20 feet,
as shown on the attached map. Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication,
is not open on the ground.
This request is made for the purpose of expanding the building area.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request
and have no objection to this vacation provided the applicant plats the
vacated right-of-way with the adjoining property.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption
of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to
replatting. The Applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of watt
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
