AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING
A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and said
tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 5 miles northeast fran the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, lying in and including all or part of the S.
Elliott, Tinsley, J. F. Redding, A. C. Warren, W. R. Reeder, H. B. Tuggle,
G. B. Stanley, W. Norris, W. C. Trimble, H. Bennett, W. N. Ray, W. Mann,
E. Taylor, P. E. Coleman, N. Burton, H. P. Largent, Hrs. of J. F. Redding,
G. W. Main, J. H. Conner, H. Robinson, R. G. B. Williams, E. Jones, J.
Brockman, J. Lynch, and P. T. Welch Surveys, and being more fully described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the west right-of-way line of Howard Haltom
Road (County Road No. 3084), 10 feet south from the north bank of Dry
Branch Creek, a creek crossing said Howard Haltom Road approximately 3500
feet north from the north right-of way line of East First Street;
THENCE in a generally southeasterly direction, along a line parallel
to, 10 feet perpendicular to, and generally south from the present City
Limit Line of Haltom City, said Haltom City Line being more particularly
described as follows: "South 61 degrees 20 minutes east 360 feet, south
20 degrees 30 minutes east 45 feet, north 51 degrees 25 minutes east 205
feet, north 65 degrees 50 minutes east 170 feet, east 190 feet, south 67
degrees east 200 feet, south 28 degrees 15 minutes east 640 feet, south 42
degrees 15 minutes east 240 feet, north 64 degrees east 105 feet, east
357.8 feet to a point";
THENCE east 10 feet;
THENCE North, Northeast and Southeast along a line parallel to, 10
feet perpendicular to, and East, Southeast, and Southwest from the present
City Limit Line of Haltom City, said Haltom City Line being more particularly
described as follows, "North 300 feet, north 37 degrees east 2555 feet,
north 85 degrees east 600 feet, south 72 degrees 25 minutes east 1880
feet, to a point";
THENCE South 72 degrees 25 minutes East along a line, approximately
10 feet, to its intersection with a line parallel to and 10 feet east from
the present City Limit Line of Haltom City produced south;
THENCE North, to and along a line parallel to and 10 feet east from
the present City Limit Line of Haltom City to a point 10 feet south from
the south right-of-way line of Elliott Reeder Road (County Road No. 3114);
THENCE East, along a line parallel to and 10 feet south from the
present City Limit Line of Haltom City, the south right-of-way line of
Elliott Reeder Road (County Road No. 3114), to its intersection with a
line parallel to and 10 feet east from the west right-of way line of
Carson Street produced south;
THENCE North to and along a line parallel to and 10 feet east from
the west right-of-way line of Carson Street 1200 feet to a point 10 feet
south from the south line of Block 2, Garden of Eden Addition, produced
west;
THTNCF East, 1970.3 .feet, along a line parallel to and 10 feet south
from a present City Limit Line of Haltom City, being the south line of
Plock 2, Garden of Iden Addition produced west, and the south line of
Block 2, Garden of ::den Addition;

the south line of a 100 acre tract of land described in Deed Records in

present City Limit Line of Haltom City, 222.2 feet to a point 10 feet
south from the south line of a tract owned by Haltom City, as recorded
in Volume 2483, Page 185, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas;

present City Limit Line of Haltom City, 417.2 feet to a point;
THENCE North, along a line parallel to and 10 feet east from a
present City Limit Line of Haltom City, to a point 10 feet north from
the south right-of-way line of the C R I & G R.R.;
TFF,T.TCT South 62 degrees 45 minutes West, alone a line parallel to and
10 feet northwesterly from the southeasterly right-of-way line of the
C R I & G R.R. 150 feet to a point 10 feet east from the east line of a
50 foot street, as described in the Haltom City Limit description;
TH;NCF North 26 degrees 45 minutes :,jest along a line parallel to and
10 feet northeast from a present City Limit Line of Haltom City to the
beginning of a curve to the right, with a radius of 150.)j5 feet;
THENCE along said curve to the right, 10 feet from and concentric
with the present City Limit of the City of Haltom City, to a point of
tangency with a line running North 49 degrees 15 minutes Fast, said Line
being 10 feet southeast from and parallel to a present City Limit Line
of Haltom City; and continuing North 49 degrees 15 minutesEast along a
line parallel to and 10 feet southeast from. the present City Limit Line
of Haltom City, 70 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left with a
radius of 153.6 feet;
THENCE along said curve to the left, 10 feet from and concentric
with the present City Limit Line of Halton City, to its intersection with
a line 10 feet east from and parallel to the east line of a 26 foot strip
owned by Haltom City and recorded in Volume 2483, Page 185, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas;
THRICE North 18 degrees 45 minutes 5',:st 515 feet, more or less,
along a line parallel to and 10 feet northeast from the present City
Limit Line of Haltom City to its intersection with a line 10 feet from
and parallel to a Haltom City Limit Line which bears North 10 degrees
'est;
TH,TCF, North 10 degrees vest along a line parallel to and 10 feet
northeast from the present City Limit Line of Haltom r"ity to a point
10 feet south from the south right-of-way line of Midway Road (County
Road No. 3007);
TH,'NCE Easterly, along a line parallel to and concentric with and
10 feet south from the south right-of-way line of Midway Road (County
Road No. 3007), with its meanders, to a point 10 feet west from the west
line of Block 1 of Richland Gardens, an addition out of the W. Norris Survey;
THENCE Southerly, along a line parallel to ?nd 10 feet west from
the :west line of Block 1, Richland Gardens Addition to a point 10 feet
south from the south line of Lot 1, Block 1, : ichland Gardens Addition
produced west;
TH NCE East to and along a line parallel to and 10 feet south from
the south line of Lot 1, Block 11 Richland Gardens Addition, to a point
10 feet west from the west right-of-way line of Park Place Drive;
THENCE South, along a line parallel to and 10 feet west from the
west right-of-way line of Park Place Drive to a point 10 feet south
from the south right-of-way line of Larkspur Lane produced west;
THEM, Past to and alone a line parallel to and 10 feet south from
the south right-of-way line of Larkspur Lane, and 10 feet south from
the south right-of-tray line of Larkspur Lane produced east to a point
10 feet east from the east right-of-way line of Willow park;

east right-of-way line of willow Park, to a point 10 feet south from the
south right-of-way line of Midway Road (County Road No. 3007);

to a point 500 feet west from the centerline of I-820;
THENCE South along a line parallel to and 500 feet west from the
centerline of T-820 to a point 1000 feet south from the south line of
the W. N. Ray Survey;

south line of the W. N. Say Survey and the south line of the W. N. Ray
Survey produced west, to its intersection with the east line of the P.

THENCE North, along a line 100 feet west from and parallel to the
east line of the 'ai. F. 'White Survey produced north, to its intersection
with the middle of the Trinity River;
THE`dM Westerly, up the middle of the 'Trinity River with its neand?rs,
to its intersection with the west line of the J. 13rockmar. Sur. produced north;
TH''TTCE South, along the west line of the J. Brockman Survey Droduced
north, to and along the west line of the J. Brockman Survey, to a point
500 feet northerly from the southeasterly right-of-way line of Handol _`ill
Road (County Road No. 2021);
THENGF ,Southwesterly, along a line parallel to and 500 feet north-
westerly and from the southeasterly right-of-way line of 3andol Mill Road
(County Road No. 2021) to its intersection with the north line of the
J. I.J. Haynes Survey;
THENCE West, along the north line of the J. W. Haynes, the north
line of the J. Blackwell, and the north line of the J. Blackwell `'urvey
produced west, to its intersection with the middle of the Trinity River;
THENC up the middle of the Trinity River with its meanders, in a
southerly direction to a point 300 feet north from the north line of
the 4m. Edwards Survey produced west;
THENCE West, along a line parallel to and 300 feet north from the
north line of the `'h. Edwards Survey produced west, to its intersection
with the east line of a tract of land owned by the City of Fort Worth,
upon which is situated a sewage disposal plant;

with the south right-of-way line of Fast First Street;
TH'NC:r West, along the south right-of-way line of ',:ast First Street,
to its intersection with the northwesterly right-of-way line of Howard
Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084) produced southwesterly;
THFNCo', Northwesterly and northerly, along the northwesterly and
westerly right-of-way line of Howard Haltom Road ( County Road No. 3064),
to the place of beginning and containing approximately 5.352 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con-
flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No.
3573, hereto"ore adopted and passed on December 26, 1956, and Crdinance Nos. 4697,
h698, 4699, h700, 4701, and 4702, heretofore adopted and passed on August 13,
1962, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct con-
flict herewith, this ordinance shall be and is hereby made curmslative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other hart of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall ba entered as an order
on the minutes and uermanent records of the City of sort .,orth, .from and after the
date of its entry, the territory hereincefore described shall cease to be a part
of the City of Fart Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its nassase, and it is so ordained.
