AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH;
PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY
NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER,
AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the
City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate
limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said ter-
ritory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by
metes and bounds as follows:
A parcel of land out of the S. Gilmore Survey at
the northwest corner of Highway #183 (N. E. 28th
Street) and Hodge-Road more fully described as fol-
lows:
Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line in the north line of Highway
#183 (N. E. 28th Street) and in the west line of
Hodge Road;
Thence north along the west line of Hodge Road a
distance of approximately 929 feet to a point in
the northeast corner of a 5 acre tract of land
listed as tract 12J, City Tax Records;
Thence west along the north line of the said 5
acre tract a distance of 300 feet to its northwest
corner;
Thence south along the west line of the said 5
acre tract a distance of 693.3 feet to its south-
west corner;
Thence in a southerly direction to the northwest
corner of tract #15 as listed in the City Tax Records;
Thence south along the west line of tract #15 a
distance of 180 feet to a point, the southwest corner
of said tract, said point being in the present city
limit line along the north line of Highway #183
(N. E. 28th Street);
Thence east along the present city limit line a dis-
tance of 230 feet to the place of beginning and con-
taining approximately 6 acres of land.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort
Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in
accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the
City Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full- force
and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than
thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it
is so ordained.
