1 ^
TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
The undersigned, owners of all the property in Colonial
Hills Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, owning all
lots abutting on the 30-foot strip left for pants of a street
immediately east of Blocks 5 and 6 in said Colonial Hills
Addition, respectfully petition this Council to revoke the
dedication of said strip of land from the southeast corner of
Lot 1, Block 6, to the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 5,
for such purpose respectfully showing:
1. ➢uajor John Eschenbrenner owns Lot 16, Block 5, Cecil
Shear owns Lot 1, Block 6, and Elmer Wooldridge owns Lot 1,
Block 5, as shown on the attached plot of said Addition.
2. Said tract or strip of land is but 30 feet in width,
too narrow for a street, and was left evidently for the pur-
pose of forming a part of a street when the property adjoining
it on the east was platted, and has never been improved as a
street or used by the public as such. Such street has been
closed north of Park Hill Drive, between Blocks 1 and 2 of said
Addition, and is occupied by adjoining owners.
3. The property lying east of -said Blocks 5 and 6 is
now being subdivided into lots and blocks, and the rear of
the lots to the east of said Blocks 5 and 6 in the Addition
that is now being platted and subdivided are trade to abut on
said half street, and the effect of permitting the existence
of a half street along such property will be to convert it
into an alley which will become filled with rubbish, weeds,
tin cans and garbage and create a menace to health.
4. Your honorable body is therefore respectfully pe-
titioned to revoke this dedication of said half street and
cancel and annul the public easement and right of way there-
in, all of which is respectfully requested.
