AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PORTION OF THE ALLEY,
IN BLOCK 7, RYAN PLACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COMM, TEXAS, FROM COLLEGE AVENUE WEST
A DISTANCE OF 200 FEET BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED,
AND EXCEPTING THE RIGHTS OF ALL PUBLIC UTILITIES HERETO-
FORE ACQUIRED IN SAID PORTION OF SAID ALLEY, AND PROVID-
ING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND, AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOM EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
HE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That in order to promote and protect the public safety, and
particularly the safety of public school pupils and teachers attending
the school or schools established by the Fort Worth Independent School
District on a school site which it has acquired in Ryan Place Addition
to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, that portion of the
alley in Block 7 in said Ryan Place Addition, from College Avenue west
a distance of 200 feet,shall be and is hereby vacated, abandoned and
closedq ,
SECTION II.
That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of con-
struoting and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed,
revoked or abrogated by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said
rights as above set out shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION III.
That the fee to the land in said alley shall revert as provided
by law.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION V.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
