An Ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance
Number 264, passed by the Eoard of Commissioners of the
City of Fort worth, Texas, on the day of ,
1911.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COWMISSIONFRS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH -
Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No.264,
passed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, on the day of ,1011,
entitled: *An Ordinance creating the office of Fire Marshall,
prescribing the duties thereof, providing for its maintenaree
and prescribing penalties P'or violation.*, be amended so as
t'
to read as follows:
*Section 1: The office of Fire Marshall is hereby
created. Said office shall be filled by appointment by the
Fire and Police Commissioner$, subject to approval by the
Board of Commissioners. Said Fire Marshall shall be under
the supervision of the Fire and Police Commissionero,and
shall work in conjunction with the Chief of the Fire Depart-
ment. He shall be properly qualified for the duties of his
office and shall be subject to removal at the discretion of
the Board of Commissioners in the same manner as other ap-
pointive officers. He shall receive for his services an
annual salary of $1500.00, payable in equal monthly install-
ments.*
Section 2: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed in so far as they so
conflict but are otherwise to remain in full force.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and publication as required
by law.
I hereby certify that the above and fore going ordinance
was duly presented and passed by the Board of Commissioners of
the C�t of Fort Worth at a session of said Board held Saturday
