AN ORDINANCE PROVIDI@G THAT THE PORTION OF THE ALLEY
IN BLOCK 18, RYAN & PRUITT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORM, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM THE NORTH
PROPERTY LINES OF LOTS 1 AND 24 TO THE SOUTH PROP-
ERTY LINES OF LOTS 9 AND 16, BE ABANDONED, VACATED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR TSE R.`4"7M IM'' OF THE IN-
TEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND) RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERNWITHT AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TSKASt
SECTION 1.
That the portion of the alley in Block 3.8, Ryan & Pruitt
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,
from the north property lines of Lots 1 and 24 to the south
property lines of Lots 9 and 16, be and the same is hereby
vacated, closed and gersmaently abandoned as an alley or pub-
lic thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said portion of the alley is hereby released
and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as pro-
vided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for
any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Dub Shaw Ford, Inc. , Thomas R. Robison, and Yelda Battat, owners of all adjoin-
ing properties, have requested the City to vacate a portion of the alley in
Block 18, Ryan Pruitt Addition. The area requested to be vacated in Block 18
extends south from the north property lines of Lots 1 and 24 to the south
property lines of Lots 9 and 16.
The south 110 feet of the subject alley is open and in use for parking by a
drive-in hamburger business and a lounge. The remainder is not open. If the
request is granted, the Applicants intend to replat the vacated right-of--way
with their adjoining properties to provide additional yard space.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have voiced no objection to this vacation, provided the Applicants plat the
vacated right-of-way with their adjoining properties and retain the vacated
right-of-way as an easement for existing utilities.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of
an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to the
conditions recommended by the City Departments and private utility companies.
The Applicants have submitted a replat which incorporates the conditions
requested by the City Plan Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
