HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3062 ORDINANCE No. 3062 AN ORDINANCE MODIFYING ORDINANCE NO. 1451 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON JUNE 5, 1928 INSOFAR AS SAID ORDINANCE AFFECTS LOTS ONE, (1), THROUGH FOUR (4) INCLUSIVE OF BLOCK TWO (2) RECTOR'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH. WHEREAS, on Petition of the First Methodist Church of Fort Worth, it appears that such church, which is a religious corporation, is the owner of Lots One (1) through Four (4), inclusive, of Block Two (2), Rector's Addition to the City of Fort Worth, together with the property across West Fifth Street to the North, as well as property across Florence Street to the West, and that West Fifth Street has been widened to a width of forty-seven feet (47') since the enactment of Ordinance No. 14.�j on June 5, 1928, and such street is ample to take care of the traffic in this area and that there is no further need for the enforcement of such Ordinance as to Lots One (1) through Four (4) inclusive, of Block Two (2), Rector's Addition to the City of Fort Worth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth that Ordinance No. 1451, dated June 5, 1928, be and the same is hereby amended as follows: "SECTION II: A building line Southerly and from the Southerly property line of Fifth Street more particularly described as follows: Ten feet (101) Southerly from the Southerly property line of Fifth Street from Penn to Florence Streets; No feet (01) Northerly from the Southerly property line of Fifth Street from Florence Street to Burnet Street." This Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect from and after the date published as required by law.
