HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 4361 OFFICIAL RECORD ORDINANCE NO. _ 4 PITY SECRETARY AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN L-H. t"i'L"'RT I, TEX. — BLOCK B, FIELDS HILLSIDE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COU1CIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH., TEXAS: Section 1 That the alley in Block B, Fields Hillside addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatsoever. Section 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the abutting property owners as provided by law save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities including a ten foot (10') easement for the existing sanitary sewer line measuring five feet W) on each side of the centerline of said sanitary sewer. Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. WORTH, L: 'September 9, 19 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council Re: Requested Closing of the City of Fort Worth Alley in Block B, Fields Hillside Addition Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: The City of Fort Worth has received a request from the property owner in Block B, Hillside Addition for the closing of the existing alley with- in this block. Even though -there are no records of a dedicated area within Block B, 'Fields Hillside Addition, there is an existing alley with- in this block which has been in use for many years, therefore, the owner has requested the City to close this alley to assist in clearing the title for this property. Both the Public Works Deportment and the Planning Department have investigated this request and have found no objections to the closing of such alley provided an easement is retained for the exist- ing sanitary sewer within this block. The alley to be closed is as follows: All of the alley within Block B, Fields Hillside Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, said alley lying between Weatherford Street and W. Ist Street from Florepce to Cherry; SAVE AND EXCEPT easements be reserved for any and all existing utilities including a 10-foot easement for the existing sanitary sewer line measuring 5 feet each side of the center line of the sanitary sewer. It is recommended .the necessary ordinance be adopted for the closing of the alley in Block B, Fields Hillside Addition as described above.
