AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PORTION OF PAREMALE
STREET FROM THE PRESENT SOUTH END OF SAID STREET TO A
POINT 300 FEET NORTH AND ADJACENT TO LOTS 30, 31, 32,
33, 34 AND 35, BLOCK A, OCIE SPEER ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED,
ABANDONED AND CLOSED, AND EXCEPTING THE RIGHTS OF ALL
PUBLIC UTILITIES HERETOFORE ACQUIRED IN SAID PORTION
OF SAID STREET, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE
FEE IN SAID LAND, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE IMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That in order to promote and protect the public safety, and
particularly the safety of public school pupils and teachers attending the
school or schools to be established by the Fort Worth Independent School
District on a school site which it has acquired in Ocie Speer Addition to
the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Teaas, Parkdale Street from the
present south and of said street to a point 300 feet north and adjacent
to Lots 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35, Block A, of said Addition, shall be and
is hereby vacated, abandoned and closed.
SECTION II.
That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of con-
structing and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed,
revoked, or abrogated by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said
rights as above set out shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION III.
That the fee to the land in said street shall revert as provided
by law.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION V.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage.
