An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance Eo.65 passed by the
Beard of Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth, June 9th;1908,
entitled tAn ordinance providing for the licensing of carriages,,
hacks,. omnibuses. automobiles., and other like public vwhielea
operated for hire within the City of Fort Wrth, presccibing the
rate of charges that shall be made by the owners or custodians

BE IT ORDAIEED BY THE BOARD OF C013USSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH r-
SECTION 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance Do 65 passed by the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth June 9th, 190fl and
entitled as above set forth be amended so as to read as follows.:.
''Section 3 Tlie charge for service of a carriage, hack, omnibus,
automobile or other motor vehicle Within the city of Fort Worth
for the transportation of passengers shall not exceed the follow-
in$ schedule to wit: 1 Rile or less for each passenger bq ctsk
for each additional mile and fractional portion of mile for each
passengerocrj ate; provided than ,children under five-years of age
accompanied by an adult no charge shall be made, and for children
five to twelve years of age accompanied by an adult 1/2 fare may

be charger. Provided that where in answering a call for service
the distance necessary to be traveled by the most direct route
from the stand of the vehicle to the house or location o e patron
exe.;eds the distance necessary to travel to convey such patron to
his d stination the charge for fare may be based on the longer
distance . Where vehicles are hired by the hour the following
schedule may be charged. For 2 passenger vehicles. &1.50 per hour,
for 4 passenger vehicles 4 Z.00 per hour, for 5 passenger vehicles
P.00 per hour, for 7 passenger vehicles $4.00 per hour.
1 mile as herein used is defined to be 18 ordinary city blocks.'
Section 2. Any person or persons violating any of the provisions
� o of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-demeanor and upon con-
viction punished by fine not less than 45.00 or more than $1C.00.
Section 3. All ordinances and partsof ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from an
ffter its passage and publication as required by law.

of the City of Fort Worth at a session of said Board held Tuesday
